DICK’S Sporting Goods was founded in 1948 when an 18 year-old Dick Stack was working at an Army surplus store in Binghamton, New York. An avid fisherman, Dick was approached by the store owner to come up with a list of products needed to get into the fishing tackle business. After Dick presented his suggestions, the owner told him he was a dumb kid and had no idea what he was doing. Dick was upset and promptly quit. He went to his grandmother’s house where he spent a lot of time as a kid and told her what had happened.

Spartans Sports Camp is dedicated to providing an encouraging and positive environment that aids in the development of its campers as both children and athletes. As a 501©(3) non-profit organization, we have raised and donated over $400,000 since 2012.

Summer camp registration is now open! Summer camps will run June 12 to July 28 , every weekday!

Coed Multi-sport Summer Camp:
The multi-sport camp offers campers the opportunity to play a wide variety of sports and games. From traditional sports like basketball, football, wiffle ball and soccer, campers will also get the chance to play sports they have never tried before such as lacrosse, street hockey, Frisbee golf and more. The objective of the multi-sport camp is to expose campers to as many sports as possible. A minimum of 4 sports will be played each day. Counselors will help campers learn the basics of each sport while creating a fun environment for all.
