Instructions for New All-Stars Players

Posted by Lew Lee at Jun 9, 2015 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
These instructions are for New All-Star Players and for Returning All-Star Players who have lost their envelope containing last year's documentation.

(A) Email the Player Agent, Steve Orens, with your player's full name exactly as it is shown on their birth certificate and also confirm their date of birth. The Tournament Verification form that you will sign must exactly match your players name as shown on their birth certificate. By collecting this information right away, the Player Agent can have the verification forms ready for you to sign when you hand in your paperwork.

(B) The complete Residency School Attendance Eligibility Requirements from Little League contains the information you need to know on what to provide. Please read this document. The document clearly explains what is needed. This summary list is provided as a reminder of what's needed:
  1. Original Birth Certificate
  2. Three different forms of residency documentation OR one school form
  3. For (2) above, please make sure the documents are dated between Feb 1 of last year and Feb 1 of this year
  4. Whenever possible, original copies that were mailed to you work best (i.e. no photocopies)
  5. If you have online-only bills, those are fine. Just download and print one out
Please bring all of your documentation (consider bringing extras in case some do not qualify!) to one of the All-Stars Documents Collection events listed in the Events list of the website. Do not hand off the documents to your team manager -- documents can get damaged, lost, and you may need to hand in alternate documents (so it'll likely be more work for everyone involved).

Posted by Lew Lee at Jun 6, 2015 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Little League's information sheet on acceptable Proof of Age documentation is here.  The best document to provide is an original birth certificate.  Original birth certificates most often will have an embossed seal and recording clerks signature on it.  Photocopies are NOT acceptable.  In general, documents must be issued by a government agency.  NOT ACCEPTABLE AS SOLE PROOF OF BIRTH: Baptismal Certificate; Certificate of Blessing; Certificate of Dedication; Certificate of Circumcision, etc.; Hospital Certificate; photocopied records; passports.  If you have questions about acceptable forms of Proof of Age documentation, please contact the league's Player Agent, Steve Orens.
