All Stars – thinking ahead

Players making the 9, 10, 11 and 12 year old All Star teams at the end of the year will have to have proof of residency dating between February 1st , 2012 and February 1st, 2013 to be eligible to play. I know it’s early to think about it but save 3 proof of residency papers in case your son/daughter makes post season play.

Pioneer and T-Ball Walk-up Registration

We are still accepting registration for Pioneer and T-Ball. There are just a few spaces left, so if you are thinking of it, be sure to sign up in person February 16th from 11-1 at Big McKelvey. Teams are being formed Majors and Minors teams have been formed and we are in the process of forming our teams in T-ball and Pioneer. We are hoping to have T-ball and Pioneer teams formed by February 23, so expect to hear from your coaches in those divisions in 2-3 weeks.

Juniors Tryouts

For players that are new to Juniors, there will be a group tryout Sat. and Sun. Feb. 16th and 17th from 11 am to 1 pm and Sat. and Sun. Feb. 23rd and 24th from 11 am to 1 pm at Big McKelvey.

Attention Coaches and Managers!

There will be a Big Al Baseball coaching clinic on Monday, February 25th (for coaches of 4-6 yr olds) and on Tuesday, February 26th (for coaches of 7-12 yr olds) at Del Mar High School, 1224 Del Mar Ave. San Jose. The clinics are from 6:00 to 10:00 pm with registration at 5:30 and all coaches and managers should attend…it is paid for by the league. This is always an excellent clinic.

Opening Day – Save the Date!

Please join Mountain View Little League on Saturday, March 9th for Opening Day Ceremonies at McKelvey Park. All players should be at McKelvey no later than 11:40am to gather with their managers and coaches for team introductions. Please arrive early, as there is limited parking at the field. Festivities will start promptly at noon.

Picture Day/Hit-a-thon – Save the Date!

Picture Day and Hit-a-thon will take place on Sunday, April 21st. Your manager will have information about what time your team needs to be at the field.

MVLL Day at the Giants – Save the Date!

Each year MVLL purchases a large batch of tickets to the World Series Champions, SF Giants and this year we are going on Mothers’ Day, Sunday, May 12th. We purchased 250 tickets and are selling them for $30 each. These tickets go fast, so get them early. Sandy Bartlett will be at Opening Ceremonies, so be sure to stop by her table and get yours.
