Umpires Wanted

Posted by Mountain View California Little League at Jan 18, 2022 2:34AM PST

Greetings Mountain View Little League (MVLL) parents, players, friends and family! MVLL is looking forward to the forthcoming 2022 spring season!

As part of the Spring Season, we are currently recruiting umpires for our AA Farm and AAA Minors games! If you are new to umpiring, a seasoned veteran, or simply want to learn more about the rules, come to our clinics and learn how much fun and rewarding this aspect of baseball can be.

  • Did you know that we compensate our umpires and that for many of our youth umpires, this is their first job? (Age 14+)
  • The league provides a mix of in-person and virtual training/instruction sessions with multiple free clinics to help get you prepared.

Please contact Darrin Lindhout at umpires@mvll.org with any questions, would like to learn more about umpiring, or would like to join the MVLL umpire squad. Please view the attached flyer for more information.

The document MVLL_Umpires_2022.pdf was attached to this post.

We have received notification from the City for the closure of the two restrooms at Shoreline Athletic Fields for repairs. Portable toilets (porta-potties) will be on-site along with a hand-wash station.

There is currently no timetable for the repairs. (Updated 1/18/2022)

Happy New Year and welcome to 2022. Our first skills clinic for the 2022 Spring Baseball Season will focus exclusively on defensive skills – proper techniques for fielding ground balls and fly balls, defensive positioning, etc. Participants are requested to attend the skills-building session specific to their age-group. The sessions are conducterd by current and former MVLL coaches and alumni MVLL players.
