Baseball and Sports Camps

Posted by Lew Lee at Jun 6, 2016 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Summer is about baseball and sports camps. The camps listed have provided in-kind support to MVLL this year.
  • MVHS Spartans Sports Camp, June 6 to July 29. Website: SpartansSportsCamp.com
$15 Off with discount code 'springpc2016' during registration. Camps are run by experienced Mtn View High School coaches and student athletes. A large variety of activity-based camps are available including: cheerleading, hip hop dance, colorguard, multi-sports, and sports specific (lacrosse, water polo, soccer, baseketball, tennis, track and field, and of course, baseball).
  • Stanford Baseball's 2016 Baseball School and Games Camp, June 13 to July 22. Website: StanfordBaseballCamp.com
Ages 7-12 years. Beginner to experienced players. Directed by the Stanford Baseball Coaching Staff. Players are grouped by age, ability, and prior experience. Stanford Baseball's newly renovated batting cage area ($1M in improvements) will be used every day by baseball school participants. Coach to camper ratio is 1:10. A separate games camp (additional registration) is available. While it is recommended participants attend the the baseball school session before ttending the games camp, it is not required. Most participants take the baseball school and games camps in the same week when offered.
  • Bald Eagle Summer Sports Camp, June 13 to July 22. Website: BaldEagleCamps.com
K to 8th Grade. The 'non-traditional' Multi-Sports Camp offers unique games mixed with traditional favorites meshed in an atmosphere of inclusion and teamwork. Camp activities are engaging for any level of athleticism as long as the child likes to get out and run around. Bald Eagle has two additional summer camps: Basketball Camp and Jumpout Camp (Jr. High leadership development).
Thanks to all who participated in the Hit-a-Thon this year. Donation funds are due to your Manager no later than May 15. This is the main fundraiser for the league and your participation is greatly appreciated, even if you were not able to attend the event. Our goaI is for each player to raise a minimum of $50, so please help MVLL by asking for donations from family, friends, neighbors and co-workers.

The Minors, Farm, Rookie and T-Ball Divisions Teams are encouraged to participate in this great community event. Teams will meet up with their Managers or Coaches beginning at 9:30 AM near the corner of Castro and Villa Streets (the Main Post Office is on Villa). A league board member will be there for check-in. Teams will march in the parade by division with T-Ball first, followed by Rookie A, Farm AA, then Minors AAA. Within each division, teams will line-up alphabetically by team name. The parade starts promptly at 10, rain or shine. Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to come and see the parade and cheer on MVLL as we march down Castro Street. After the parade, there'll be food, games crafts and fun at Pioneer Park to 1 PM. Food trucks and carts will be on site selling food as well. [MV Recreation Division Announcement]
