If your child decides not to play before Opening Day, we will refund all fees, less a $25.00 cancellation fee. If team uniform items were issued, the refund is given after the items are returned. After Opening Day, no fees will be refunded.

Join us on Wednesday, October 4 from 5 to 6:15 PM at Mountain View's Shoreline Athletic Fields to hear a talk on teamwork from the U.S. Navy's premier aviation demonstration team, the Blue Angels. Speaking to us will be the Blue Angels Commanding Officer/Flight Leader CAPT Ryan Bernacchi, USN. (Presentation is 45 minutes plus 30 minutes for Q&A.)

Captain Ryan Bernacchi is a native of Los Altos, California and graduated from Mountain View High School in 1992, where he lettered in water polo and swimming. He attended the University of California, San Diego, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1996, and was commissioned an Ensign in the U.S. Navy.

Captain Bernacchi joined the Blue Angels in September 2015. He has accumulated more than 3,000 flight hours and 600 carrier-arrested landings, and is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN), NAS Fallon, Nevada. After graduating, he joined the TOPGUN staff as an instructor pilot and served as the Navy and Marine Corps subject matter expert in GPS guided weapons. Ryan served as a Federal Executive Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts. His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, one Individual Air Medal with Combat "V" (three Strike Flight), four Navy Commendation Medals, one with Combat "V," and numerous unit, campaign, and service awards.

Some date changes: Fall Ball Kick-Off is Sunday, Aug 27. First intraleague game is Sunday, Sep 10. Eight Sundays of intraleague games. Fall Ball Brawl (closing games) will be Sunday, Nov. 5.

We are at capacity. Registration is closed. Registrations currently in the mail will be put on the waitlist as they are received. Letters mailed on Saturday (8/5) will arrive in our post office box on Wednesday. To be placed on the waitlist, registrations must be submitted. We do not accept waitlist requests without the registration form and payment. Anyone placed on the waitlist will be notified by email. It will take us a week, possibly more, to make team assignments. Until then, we will not know which division waitlist your players will be on.

This year we will have only Monta Loma to play on and can field 6 teams -- two in each division of Majors, four in Minors AAA, and Farm AA. We will hold combined team practices during the week by division for the 6 teams.

Teams will also practice on Saturdays. All games are played on Sundays with teams from other leagues in District 44. Games are scheduled by the District Fall Ball Coordinator and the schedule is released about a week before the first district games. MVLL will have an Opening Day of MV vs MV games, currently planned for the Sunday after before Labor Day weekend.

As in previous years, there are no in-person registration events for Fall Baseball. Registrations are accepted using the U.S. Mail. Acceptable forms of payment are check or money order. No PayPal. No cash is accepted since there are no in-person events. Postmark dates are used to determine the order in which registrations are received. Fall Baseball will sell-out quickly and we will have wait lists. For more information, please email fallball@mvll.org.

We encourage prospective team managers and coaches to let Mike Reelfs know they are interested by July 31. Also, we are expanding umpiring opportunities for the Majors and Minors Fall Baseball games. Send email to umpires@mvll.org if you desire to umpire. Experienced MVLL players who will be in the 2018 Juniors Division or Babe Ruth League are encouraged to apply.

Fall Ball is for ages 7 to 11. Baseball age is defined using the 2017 Little League Age Chart.
