Plans to have a ceremony on Sat. Mar 2 will very likely be cancelled because of the poor weather forecasts for Sat. Mar 2, plus the rainy days leading up to it. This is a copy of the email announcement sent Thursday night when a final decision was made.

Greetings MVLL Community,

We are all very excited to begin our 2024 spring season!

Our annual Opening Ceremony is scheduled for this Saturday, March 2nd. We have been closely following the trajectory of an extreme multi-day storm that has arrived as of today. While this storm will mostly affect the mountains, the amount of rain projected in our area will not allow for a safe and enjoyable Opening Day Celebration. Therefore, the MVLL board has decided to cancel our Opening Ceremony this Saturday. Because games will start next week, we will not be able to reschedule the ceremony. However, we are going to save all of our planned festivities for later in the season!

Any practices scheduled for this weekend will also be cancelled due to the weather.
